Welcome!
The Beginning
Welcome to the beginning of my Passport Diaries Online Photo Journal. There's nothing like a new beginning at the start of a new year to give you a fresh perspective.
I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I expect to. Feel free to comment, provide tips on your favorite places to visit ( or to pass), etc.

Travel Documents Have Arrived!
First Stop, Passau
It's official -- the travel documents have arrived and the first stop is Passau, Germany. The packet is pretty organized.
It includes my itinerary, a Danube River handbook (pretty cool!), luggage tag, air and cruise vouchers, 2 paper luggage stickers, 1 red Viking sticker all presented in a nice sturdy plastic case.
Putting this baby in my carry-on now! With my passport!

Packing for Europe
Let the Packing Begin
I have decided that packing for Europe in March is not nearly as bad as I figured. It's only 8 days before I embark on my first European trip -- how many shoes do you really need to take anyway?!
In addition to my tennis shoes of course, which I'm using to workout in not wear in town -- I've decided on 2 pair of boots and one pair of flats. I don't think it's a smart idea to take the blue suede stilletos, although they are fabulous and I know my European compadres would love them!
Stay tuned to see how the suitcase turns out. Now, there's a purse issue!
